We recently had the pleasure of building a new home with Malcolm Dowding and Dowding Homes Limited. Malcolm took all of the stresses that often associated with building out of the equation and his industry knowledge and willingness to work with us as clients made building our new home an enjoyable experience. We were particularly impressed with his attention to detail and the quality of the finish. Malcolm was one of three quotes we got when we decided to build, even as we were discussing the project with him we could tell he was listening to what we were saying, his price was not the lowest but was within a K of it, this didn’t matter as we felt he understood what we wanted. The project came in within a few hundred dollars of his quoted price and that was due to some suggested improved materials rather than an oversight. Malcolm never came to us with a problem he came to us with a solution often providing a better outcome than that was planned.
With Malcolm near enough was not good enough he has an excellent eye for design and produced a quality home. His project management and professionalism were outstanding. After talking to friends who recently been through the building process and hearing of the horror stories about cost over runs and relationship difficulties we realize how lucky we were to have signed up with Dowding Homes Ltd. Yes we would recommend him to anyone as a master builder.

The workmanship in building our house was first rate. We felt that no corners were cut and we are very happy with our end product. As with all new houses, there are always things that need adjustment. Malcolm was always prompt to arrange these changes once we asked him and managed the sub-contractors in a similar way. Malcolm also went the extra yard for us, popping around to install our wall-mounted televisions one Saturday afternoon at no extra charge.

Our house was built over winter which was exceptionally wet in 2007. Despite this the timeline which Malcolm suggested was almost exactly on track which was a credit to him and his team given the conditions that they had to work through.

Overall we are really pleased with our home. It is well-designed, well-built and works well for our family. Having built two houses now, I have no hesitation in recommending Dowding Homes Ltd to prospective clients. Also, if we were to build again we would be more than happy to use Dowding Homes Ltd in the future.

After viewing a home built by Dowding Homes Ltd, I decided to request them to build a house for me at Redcliffs. Malcolm was responsible for designing and building the house.

The house has two storeys and is built of brick.  It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper floor.  The ground floor consists of a kitchen/dining room, a separate lounge, a bathroom, a laundry and a further bedroom or study.

Throughout the building process I was satisfied with the regular liaison with Malcolm and the consultation that was necessary.  He was always ready to make any changes that were requested and did so willingly.

I am very satisfied with their workmanship and pleased with the outcome of the building project.  The house looks strong in appearance and makes a statement in the street.  It is a most worthwhile home Dowding Homes completed a quality job and I would be confident in asking him to build for me again.
